DENVER – The Thompson Trio is together again on the Iroquois Nationals, and fans can watch them on the ESPN family of networks as they compete in the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships.

The three Thompsons, Lyle Thompson, Miles Thompson and Ty Thompson, will suit up for the Iroquois Nationals in Denver to compete for the gold.  The three dazzled college lacrosse fans this season, combining for 300 points for UAlbany and leading the Great Danes to the NCAA Quarterfinals after a 13-6 victory over Loyola.

The trio will be joined by Lyle and Miles’s brothers Jeremy and Jerome on the team, along with their father, Jerome Sr., serving as an assistant coach.

UAlbany will also be represented on two other squads.  UAlbany midfielders Riley Lasda and Eli Lasda will suit up for Team Latvia in the White Division, while assistant coach Eric Wolf will serve in the same capacity for Team Israel, competing in the Orange Division.

The Iroquois Nationals are competing in the Blue Division, the highest ranked group of lacrosse nations in the world.  Along with the Iroquois, the division includes the United States (2010 champion), Canada (2010 Blue Division champion), Australia, England and Japan.  The Blue Division will play a round robin format, with the top four of the six advancing to the championship round.

The championship round will consist of the top-four Blue Division teams and two teams from the other divisions from play-in games.  The winner of the elimination tournament will be given the gold medal of the tournament.

All five Iroquois Nationals games will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. The contests against Team USA and Team Canada will air on ESPNU/WatchESPN, with the other three on ESPN3.  Each game in the championship round will air on ESPNU/WatchESPN.
