ALBANY, N.Y. – The Great Danes will look to wrap up their four-game homestand with a sweep and match their best start since the 2010-11 season as they host Delaware State at the SEFCU Arena on Sunday, November 24th at 2 p.m.

UAlbany comes into Sunday at 4-0 after a 71-49 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday and as one of only two undefeated teams left in the America East.  Delaware State also earned a home victory on Wednesday, a 86-73 win over Wilmington, to improve to 1-2 on the season.  UAlbany and Delaware State played for the first time in Dover last season, with the Great Danes earning a 79-57 in Memorial Hall.

UAlbany is in the top-three in numerous categories in the America East, including scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, field goal percentage defense, three-point field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage defense, rebounding margin, assists per game and steals per game.  Shereesha Richards, a two-time America East Player of the Week, is leading the conference in scoring, rebounds per game and field goal percentage, while Sarah Royals ranks first in assists per game and eighth in scoring.  Margarita Rosario is in the top-four in assists and steals per contest.

Delaware State, under second year head coach Tamika Louis, venture to Albany for the first of two games in the state of New York.  The Hornets will play Manhattan on Tuesday to wrap up the road trip.  The Hornets were predicted to finish tenth in the MEAC after a trip to the conference quarterfinals last year.  Leading the team is redshirt junior forward Tierra Hawkins, a Preseason All-MEAC player and a member of the 1,000-point club.  After three games she averages 20 points and 12.3 rebounds a game.  Senior guard Deanna Harmon, who sports 11.3 points and 8.3 boards a contest, averages a team-best three steals a contest.  The second option on shooting is freshman guard Raven Bankston, who scores 17.3 points a game on 44.4% shooting.
