The 19-year-old student who was in critical condition at Albany Medical Center has died, according to police. Trevor Duffy, a Bronx native, was a sophomore at the University at Albany.

Duffy and four other 19-year-old men were brought to Albany Medical Center after police received a call to an apparent house party at 461 Hamilton St. on Nov. 16 at approximately 1:52 a.m. Duffy was found unconscious when the medics arrived. The other four men have since been released after treatment.

Fox 23 has reported that the party may have ties to a fraternal group, but one not associated with UAlbany, according to Albany’s Police Chief Steve Krokoff. He did not immediately answer a voicemail left by ASP staff.

The home where the incident occurred is currently being treated as a crime scene.

As of right now, police say that excessive alcohol consumption was a factor in Duffy’s and the other four men’s conditions. The issue is currently under investigation by the Albany Police Department.
