Three people arrested in connection with CDTA bus incident

Three people involved with a Jan. 30 incident on the CDTA 11 bus will be arrested, according to university police.

One defendant, Ariel Agudio, 20, will face charges of assault, falsely reporting an incident, attempted assault, and attempted criminal mischief. Alexis Briggs, 20, will face assault charges. The final defendant, Asha Burwell, 20, will face charges of assault and falsely reporting an incident.

Each defendant will receive an appearance ticket for arraignment at Albany City Police Court on Monday, Feb. 29. According to university police, the assault charges are based on evidence which shows that the three defendants physically assaulted another passenger on the bus, a 19-year-old woman from Congers, NY.

The charges listed above are based on evidence recovered from video and audio footage from the incident.

    This story is lacking important facts. The press release from the police indicates that in addition to numerous video and audio sources they interviewed 35 bus passengers.
