ALBANY, N.Y.- The University at Albany men’s basketball sideline will look a little different on Saturday, as head coach Will Brown and his staff will be wearing sweatsuits to support the Coaches Cure Cystic Fibrosis cause against Maine at SEFCU Arena.

“Our program is excited to work closely with one of our loyal supporters Brian Fessler and support Coaches Cure CF,” said Brown. “Our coaching staff will be wearing sweatsuits on Saturday to help raise awareness and support the movement to hopefully one day find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis”.

The Coaches Cure CF initiative aims to bring awareness of Cystic Fibrosis to the college basketball community in a similar manner to Coaches vs. Cancer. Seton Hall spearheaded the initiative in 2011, and Providence College and Iona have since held awareness days of their own.

Fans attending the Feb. 15 awareness day at UAlbany will have the opportunity to participate in a number of contests, including a 50/50 raffle and silent auction, with proceeds benefiting Cystic Fibrosis research. One lucky fan will also enter the SEFCU money machine during halftime for a chance to win up to $ 1,000. SEFCU will generously match the winnings with a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The silent auction bidding will close at halftime.

The game against Maine is slated to tip at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, and will also be broadcast on ESPN3.
