Baseball’s Season Opener Postponed

ALBANY, N.Y. — The season opener for the University at Albany baseball team has been delayed due to inclement weather affecting the nation’s Southeast region.

The Great Danes were originally scheduled to open the 2014 slate at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C. against Canisius on Friday. However, that game has been cancelled.

UAlbany’s games on Saturday versus Saint Joseph’s (1 p.m.) and Butler (4 p.m.), as well as Sunday’s contest against Monmouth (10 a.m.) are still currently scheduled to be played.

For updates on the schedule, check UAlbanySports.com or the UAlbany Baseball Twitter page at Twitter.com/DanesBaseball.
